UGH WHY: Charming Indie Director Noam Murro Directs a ‘300’ Sequel That Looks Exactly Like the Original

So the original “300” was a movie that basically spend two and a half hours apologizing for the Bush administration and slobbering lustfully over extreme close-ups of sucking chest wounds and hating on gay people. It looked like this:

Then a sequel was announced, but instead of sex-crazed man-child Zack Snyder, who was off annihilating another halfway decent comic book, the producers hired Noam Murro, an Israeli director whose first film “Smart People” was a delightful romantic comedy set among academics. Stills from his version of the movie look like this:

Forget it. Let’s just watch the trailer to “Smart People.”
